5 ways to extend your battery life in Sri Lanka's heat

Sri Lanka's tropical climate is beautiful for riding but punishing for lithium cells. Sustained temperatures above 35°C accelerate calendar aging, and parking under direct sun can push pack temperatures past 50°C in minutes.

Tip 1 - Park in the shade. A simple cover or a shaded carport reduces standing temperature dramatically and pays back in years of pack life.

Tip 2 - Avoid charging immediately after a long ride. Let the pack cool for 20 minutes before plugging in - the BMS will thank you.

Tip 3 - Keep state of charge between 20% and 80% for daily use. Top up to 100% only before long trips.

Tip 4 - Use the slowest charger that fits your schedule. A 6-hour overnight charge is gentler than a 1-hour fast charge.

Tip 5 - Schedule a yearly BMS health check at any Saige service centre. We recalibrate cells, update firmware, and catch early degradation.
